28 May 2020
NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Associate Administrator Thomas Zerbuchen announced during a May 28 Town Hall that SMD has released its Science Plan for the next five years: "Science 2020-2024: A Vision for Scientific Excellence."
Developed by SMD leadership in collaboration with NASA Center Directors, the document lays out an ambitious five-year program to drive change in high-priority areas of greatest impact. To validate the plan's approach, SMD has consulted with the NASA Advisory Council (NAC) Science Committee and the Space Studies Board ad hoc committee. As the plan goes forward, SMD will continually assess progress for transparency and accountability.
