Gamma-Ray Science Interest Group (GRSIG) Webinar

Friday, 16 February 2024

We are inviting you to our next Gamma-Ray Science Interest Group (GRSIG) webinar next Friday, February 16th at 3PM Eastern time (noon PT). This virtual meeting can be accessed through Webex using the connection details listed below.

We would like to focus our next meeting on NASA’s request for precursor science gaps. We know this is a new concept for many of us, but this is the framework in which NASA Astrophysics is operating now, and we need to make it work for our community. Precursor science gaps are areas where work now can make a difference to defining the mission architecture or implementation for the next strategic missions, which includes Great Observatories, Probes, as well as potential future gamma-ray missions. You can read more about the definitions at the Science Gaps List.

Here is the agenda of the meeting:

  • Presentation [PDF]
  • Brief updates from GRSIG chairs
  • Update from the FIG SAG
  • Precursor Science Gaps (Brian Humensky and Francesca Civano)
  • Discussion: Gamma-ray precursor science gaps

We look forward to seeing you there!

Justin Finke
Jeremy Perkins
(GRSIG co-chairs)
