ROSES-23: Swift Observatory General Investigator Clarification and Corrections

The D.5 Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory General Investigator (GI) - Cycle 20 Program solicits proposals for basic research relevant to the Swift gamma-ray burst mission. The primary goal of this mission is to determine the origin of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and use these bursts to probe the early Universe.

A few clarifications and corrections have been made to D.5 Swift GI: In Section 1.1 a precis of the People’s Republic of China prohibition from the ROSES Summary of Solicitation has been added and trivial typos were corrected. New text is in bold and deleted text struck through. The proposal due date is unchanged: Phase-1 proposals are due at 4:30p Eastern/1:30p Pacific on 21 September 2023, via the Astrophysics Research Knowledgebase Remote Proposal System (ARK/RPS).

Please direct programmatic questions to Mario Perez at mario.perez@nasa.gov and technical questions concerning this program element to Bindu Rani at bindu.rani@nasa.gov.
