21 August 2020
The Decadal Survey on Astronomy and Astrophysics (Astro2020) continues to make progress in the era of COVID-19. The Steering Committee is holding all of its meetings virtually and has been engaging in a vigorous schedule of weekly telecons and multi-day meetings. There will be a public virtual meeting on 25 August 2020 beginning at 12 noon Eastern / 11a Central / 10a Mountain / 9a Pacific where the Steering Committee will hear updates on budget guidance and other issues from NASA, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Department of Energy (DOE). As the Steering Committee continues its deliberative work of assessing and synthesizing the inputs from its panels, most of the rest of its meetings will be held in closed session. The goal remains to deliver the report in Spring 2021.
