ROSES-2021 Amendment 22 releases for community comment draft text for Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon (PRISM) to be released as program element F.10 of ROSES-2021.
It is intended that F.10 PRISM would solicit the development and flight of science-driven suites of instruments and technology demonstration payloads that address science goals of any Science Mission Directorate (SMD) division that are related to the Moon. They may also address: 1) Strategic Knowledge Gaps of the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) and/or 2) any technology demonstration goals of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) that advance capabilities for science, exploration, or commercial development of the Moon.
NASA expects to select suites for two Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) deliveries to a south polar location in Q4 2024, and to the Gruithuisen Domes, a nearside silicic volcanic construct, in Q2 2025. Mobility capabilities are expected to be available for Gruithuisen Domes. For more information read the draft text posted on the NSPIRES page for ROSES-2021 F.10 PRISM.
NASA expects to release the final solicitation text for F.10 PRISM in August 2021, with proposals due approximately 90 days after this release, and proposal selection 3-4 months after the proposal due date.
Please address your questions and comments concerning the draft of F.10 PRISM to Ryan Watkins and Brad Bailey via HQ-PRISM@mail.nasa.gov by 21 June 2021.
