NEX Job Announcement: Senior Scientist for Astrobiology, Planetary Science Division

The Planetary Science Division within the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) at NASA Headquarters is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Scientist for Astrobiology. The incumbent will serve as the Agency’s Senior Leader in Astrobiology leading efforts from NASA Headquarters to ensure significant progress is made in Astrobiology.

*About NEX: The NEX hiring authority is an excepted service hiring authority developed to help NASA hire individuals of unique, exceptional ability by compensating them at a level commensurate with their experience and a level competitive within the private sector. Appointments are time limited and may last up to 6 years. These appointments confer no rights to further Federal employment in either the competitive or excepted service. Appointees may not be non-competitively converted to another Federal government position.
