Second XRISM Workshop 17 – 19 January 2024

The X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM) announces the opening for registration for the 2nd XRISM Community Workshop, taking place 17 – 19 January 2024, at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The primary objective of this workshop is to prepare the astronomical community for the upcoming Cycle 1 General Observer (GO) Call for Proposals for XRISM, anticipated in late February 2024. This workshop will consist of talks and hands-on sessions with experts from the XRISM team that will cover XRISM science along with techniques and software relevant for Cycle 1 proposals, with the goal of maximizing the use of the unique high-resolution spectroscopic and imaging data provided by XRISM.

There is no registration fee for this workshop; however, registration is required via the workshop website by 22 December 2023. Limited travel support is available for those who would otherwise not be able to attend; see the registration form for details. A hybrid attendance option will also be available; registration is required to receive connection information.
